when i put my car into reverse no lights work,the bulb is fine so must be switch,where is switch?

the switch is located at the front face of the gear box, visible from under vehicle looking from the front, best way to check if its the switch or wiring is to disconnect the switch place a piece of electircal wire between the 2 terminals, plce vehicle in reverse and turn on ignition, the reversing lamps should illuminate, if not its the bulbs or wiring, let me know how you get on...

the switch is on the gear box to test the switch put the car in reverse connect bulb to switch if it lights then its ok may be wires to lights
