Hi I have a early model of scantronic fitted to my house and following a power outage has started to fault.When we enter the house now the alarm activates immediately giving us no time to disarm it.Can this fault be corrected and at what cost?.

you my man show good taste ,ur son ,well,he has his own taste,but we know what panel is best,i cant see the galaxy lasting 32 years e manno,we have used them for a short while,a very short while,i think they are very cheap looking keypad and we are not very impressed by them,over priced for what they do,i will leave them for those who choose to use them,to each his own,as for my company,scanny is best

IIRC we have 280 ish scans on service contract the rest are vista galaxy and prem,90% of the scans were fitted by meeeeee :D.

Got a few ions, but me not fit them but did the surveys,yep me a scantronic man and always will be. Sons a vista galaxy man and now the tex prem, he convinced me to fit galaxy to my home co's it works with rest of security.

It's proper loaded mate with vipers the job lot but me know a scanny would do same job :)and mrs manno can't use it proper ,god me show her time and time again but me get silly alerts every time she at home.

no chime on it me old son,just a nice scanny 3 zone panel, as u no,we have about 300 on service contracts i love scanny panels simple to prog simple to use reliable,what more can u ask for

Oops just remembered "no chime" on the 9450 and I think the mA draw threshold was 820 before it lost DC :D,

So had the odd one trip the battery polyswitch,

On testing battery good and and mA draw ok,

Had the odd one that reverted but most didn't, had a cust years ago with the three zone in his shop,who wanted his door entry in chime because his living quarters was at the rear and he wanted to be alerted when cust entered shop.

Me told him they were better alternatives and to keep his three zone but he wanted a system that chimed so out came the 9450 for the 9454.

ps me hope the 9450 didn't have chime facility or me a dopey dick :D

That's a sweet little 3 zone gts :),

Me remember having the odd prob with that one mate, remember a few that shut down because of bat poly switch.

On testing battery good mA draw below 950 IIRC, just a case of total power down and power up,

9x out of 10 no reprog needed only zone for cust to chime,odd one that needed reprog but no worries :).

in a galaxy far far away,i had one or two 9450,s do the dirty,but could never reproduce it on bench test,you know how reliable the scannys are,i think they must be all female ,ha ha

I was thinking of an earlier model gts but you are probably right with the 9448 mate,

Yeh that little beauty has a habit of reverting lol,but hey it's an easy panel to prog up :)

No not mine, but i'am familiar with the older systems who loose their programming due to total power loss or mains spike.

Costs vary so I can't give you a figure,i suggest you get three quotes from installers local to you.Don't use anyone that only uses a mobile tel even if it sounds cheap.

It needs rebooting with a new battery and reprogramming as it's reverted to factory settings Baz.
