Hi I turned my 1999 civic ej9 off and tried to start it again and the key wouldn't turn , I took the barrel out and put on out of another civic in and the engine turned over but wouldn't start , I then managed to fix my original barrel and now it turns the engine over but still won't start ! Any ideas ?

Sounds as if you have confused it. Key is probably coded, So by using a different key, being able to switch things on, confused the system, does not know which key is which. might have to reconfigure the key, probably in your manual.
