How can I test my boiler stat is operating correctly their is no cylinder stat fitted new thermostat that seems to be working correctly, but boiler appears to be on almost constantly, so how would I test boiler stat potterton MK2F

Set boiler to low setting than it should stop firing when reach set Temp if it's does than boiler start is ok if not replace boiler start
