I have an E4 error, know what the problem is but don't know how to fix it. ?

Water is leaking into the bottom compartment from the filter. It appears as though the seal on the filter has come away from the bottom of the dishwasher. Is this easily fixable or is an engineer required? If I need an engineer any recommendations please and an idea of price. I'm based in Surrey. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure it is the problem. I took the sides off, started a cycle and saw the water coming into the base compartment from a gap between the white plastic filter and the dishwasher main compartment. The rubber seal no longer fits properly which I think is part of the issue.

cant see your diagnosis as being corrrect, just tilt the d/w forwards as far as possible and try it again
