How can I fix my car (Renault scenic 1.6 expression 04 plate) it has gone into garage for what I thought was a binding brake, the garage has now told me that hand brake error light came on then the windscreen wipers and lights etc. Started flashing even with the card out the only way they can stop it is by removing battery, any ideas please :-)

Renault charge £££ lots to solve these problems (of their own making) and one place offers a much cheaper postal repair option for sub £200.

A few years ago there were many issues reported on here to do with Renault dashboard problems - Scenic and Megane.

From what I could tell it had a lot to do with poor soldering during manufacture. One company as I recall was offering a replacement service - send in old dashboard and get a refurbished one by return.

Many responders are saying check with your Renault Main dealer - spend some time searching on here - scenic dash etc.

I have heard stories about these brake control modules on these and you just have to search on here regarding Renaults electrical problems in general.Be prepared for a nice xmas bill from your garage,in future I would think carefully about what car you decide to go for.
