Our Indesit IDL40 Dishwasher wasn't draining. Husband has replaced the drain pump, but now the first light is flashing, which I believe means 'water in base' however no visible water. Any suggestions gratefully received, thanks.

Thank you for replying!
Had it all out today, and per advice given on other posts, we tilted the machine to one side & water poured out :(
All that had been done initially was to remove & replace the drain pump which was the original problem, but now it seems that water is going into the base when it is filling.
