i have vaxuall zafira and the key remote it does not work at all?

hi !! vaxuall zafira my key remote is not working and when button pressed the red neon light is not working as well.please can you give me an idea?thanx!!

if you seperate the key and fob to change the battery for new one may work ???? be carefull when removing the battery as they are temprementle and solider can snap off when its change and back together insert it into the ignition with ignition lights on press lock button and it should sync back to the car if still no joy contact me on
