How can i fix my heater blower on my peugeot 205?

My heater matrix went about 2months ago and i replaced it, ever since then my fans refuse to work. Ive checked all fuses they all seem fine, the new heater matriz is working fine and there is heat comming from it but my fans just dont work. ive checked the panel that the turning bit for the blower sits and there is a current on that panel.

Any suggstions anyone???

It would be a great deal as i have no money and need this car to get me about for the time being and its rather cold with no fans.

I have similar problem,my heater blower has stopped working completely.
Dont know where to start, fuses ok and control panel illuminates fine.
Apperently its a common fault with pugs.
Any advice would be greatly recieved.

oh just a quicky steve, my heater matrix leaked really badly for a couple of weeks before i changed it, when i say really leaked both footwells were soaking is there anychance that some wiring for the blowers could have short circuited or something due to the water? oh also my water jets for my windscreen doesnt work and this was since my heater matrix problem too, could this be linked or do you think its just another seperate problem?

There is a speed control resistor in the line to the blower, as you select each speed it diverts power to the appropriate resistor, as you have no fan at all I would suspect power connection from the resistor block to the fan itself is broken. The resistor block sometimes sits in the air ductwork to keep it cool during operation, if you remove the covers from the footwells either side you should be able to find it. It may be worth dropping 12v directly onto the fan itself just to prove it is OK before doing more work.

Good Luck Steve
