measuring bobbin hook relative to needle-timing Q?

Europro service-
How can I adjust the timing on my machine.
I saw one explanation that said the hook of the bobbin holder should pass about 1/16 above the eye of the needle.

How do I determine that on my shark intellisew machine. I do not see a mark on the needle that indicates 1/16. Is it 1/16 of the length of the needle from tip to tip?

Thanks

it only means that when hook point is at correct place ,that is hook point must be flush with side of needle on forward motion, the point should be approx 1.2mm above needle eye.hope it explain little betterjust remember this a approx and can vary between make and model so play around little by little until thread get picked up on zig zag stitch.this setting normal with needle in center position and needle height correct
