after finishing it's cycle the end flashes but the key symbol keeps flashing red and the door remains locked

give it a few thumps in the area of the interlock it may just release, otherwise remove the lid and and look down the inside of the front panel and push on the door striker with a screwdriver until you release it (can be difficult sometimes) replace the interlock when you get it open
