performance power reciprocating saw?

I have a performance power reciprocating saw, hardly used but out of warranty. Broke on about the fourth use. The part that broke is the T shaped piece that is in effect the reciproicating bar. If I could source one it is a 5 minute job to fix. Are these available anywhere?
Incidentally went to B and Q and the nice lady said that the company(ies) that make performance power tools are not very good and they have a language barrier and so have stopped trying to get parts. She said to buy a different type of saw next time. Very good advice it seems, particularly as we were stood at the isle with all the performance power tools still on sale!!!
