i have a hoover optima ophs 712b washing machine it has started stopping mid cycle it is doing the wash cycleand drains, but when it gets to the rinse cyle it doesnt take the fabric softner through and stops and a light flashes on the panel 3 times can any1 help with this problem thanks.

Could be the rinse hold cycle. Check that the program is not a delicates wash or a rinse hold cycle. It also could be the electric valve on the cold water intake (solenoid valve) Try a very hot wash with out any fabrics or detergent in the machine.
