Could not access my [USB Pen Drive,sillicon,1GB]?

It is being reccognised by windows XP but I could not access it in my computer as it tells : "Please insert a disk in drive f: "

And how do you fix it?

the inside first line of electronic parts are probably intact
but the memory blocks chip is maybe burned or fake\faulty
so when Xp its reading the device,is just about the electronic label;
becouse the memory block is faulty you can't get in
for data storage.
