How to turn off internal alarm?

Hi, hoping you can help. I recently had an electrician install the 9448+. The problem is that he has put the internal alarm box in the baby's room and each night we set the alarm before bed the internal alarm / chime wakes the baby up! Is there a way to turn off the beeps / sound when setting the alarm? Hope you know what I mean!

hello guys, sorry I have not been on. I'm having a baby (due tomorrow!) and have been unwell. Your efforts are not wasted believe me. I def don't want to blow myself up and start messing with wires! Please help! I have two guides that were left:
1 - Installation and programming guide
2 - user guide

Not sure if this is what you mean?

I think the electrician mentioned there were separate zones for each PIR. He showed me different zones on the keypad when for example if someone tried to get in the backdoor that would be a particular zone. However these zones are not written down anywhere and I didn't think I would need to have these listed.

Once again thanks for all your help.

guess we not needed any more,

did he leave you the engineering manual by any chance?chances are he has not changed the engineering code,if you have the book i will tell you what page to go to,what code number to put in and how to take it out of the engineering mode, the sound can be turned down but that would entail opening the panel, and turning a pot down, and there are mains voltage present, its safer this way, cant have you blowing yourself up now,can we ?:-)

i will then tell you how to prog an unused zone for part set, then all your probs be over :-)

thats what we are here for,now are the pirs on seperate zones??sorry for all the questions, but it lead to the alarm being fixed, and please tell us what zones they are on,1,2,etc

I can't believe how helpful you are being - thank you so much! I have 4 PIRS. You have prob guessed it but the book has not been completed.

i hope your electrician has filled in the back page of your user book,i.e.what zones are in use.date fitted, etc etc ,coz it sounds to me as he has left you in the dark ,will be on line all night if you do get back to this page, acorn,e manno, alarm guy,or myself will give you the info you need

thats what happens whe you get an electrician to install alarm systems, tell me,what zones are in use??1,2,3,etc,, etc get back to us ,we will tell you how to sort out your prob,do not disconnect any wires,i need to know what zones are in use (how many pirs)

Hi, thank you for your replies. We only have PIRs downstairs so its not part set (I don't believe). The electrician advised that there was no need to put them upstairs as windows were secure and toddlers getting up in the night would be a problem. So, do I just try to get the engineering code and do as suggested above? I never had anything explained to me like 'day' or 'night' mode. Disconnecting wires sounds a bit scary for me!.

Thanks

do you part set the system at night ?do you have the engineering code?if the answer to these questions is yes, heres what to do,key in the engineering code, all the lights should flash, now key in 35 then press enter,(the tick bottom right button)key in 1 enter, then key in 99 enter, all lights will stop flashing ,then you will be back in day mode, what you have just done is switch off the setting tone on part set,(silent set )

u can disconnect the speaker inside the box which i think would be the best way to go or u can get the speaker routed elsewhere. u will need the engineers code so best to make sure u have it if ur doing it yourself. here is a link on pg 5 u will see the speaker just disconnect the wires from the terminals.
