My key has snapped in my ignition,how do i get the barrel out??

My key has snapped off in my ignition,breakdown bloke told me to use wd40 and a flat screwdriver to get it out ive been trying all morning and still it wont budge,need to get it out so i can get a new key cut,please help!! Its a peogeot 106 T reg.

depends if the key broke off when the ignition was in the OFF position, will be easier to pull it out with tweezers, there's still pressure on a key in the lock from the tiny springs inside the lock, you may need to call a locksmith (not the garage) out if the key was not in the OFF position.
