How can I fix dishwasher - Fisher & Paykel soft touch showing F1 code?

As above
Eric Young, January 2013
F1 means that flood switch has tripped. You will need to turn power off at wall socket. Then remove lower panel below door front. Inside near front centre you will see float switch with a piece of polystyrene under it. If that area is wet then dry it thoroughly. Machine will then run without F1 coming up. Run a cycle & watch for water returning to tray. If it does then you will need to track down where it is coming from otherwise F1 will return. Warning -- Do not touch anything underneath while dishwasher is plugged in to wall socket. Some parts are live even when power is off on panel. Pull plug from wall socket before putting your hand inside opening.
