i had same prob on my cavvy when it was 3 years old!.i just removed the wee bulb out from behind the dash.no further probs.(vauxhall told me it would need to go on their computer as it was a "sensor" problem, but assured me the airbag would NOT deploy)car is now 13 years old and ive had no bother with my solution.(a bit of an arse to get the dash off though!)

Hi if it is the air bag light it will normaly read SRS telling you there is a fault with the system IF THIS IS THE CASE take it to an auto electrician messing with these unless you know what you are doing is dangerous they can activate so suddenly they have to be de-activated before working on them leave it alone JIM

I am sure the air bag lamp is amber. If its a red lamp its a warning not an advisory signal. It could be the ignition/charge lamp or a brake fault lamp ! Check this out as it could be dangerous !

good luck steve
