Our dishwasher has finished it's cycle but it just makes the whirring sound before it switches off! Can you advise. I have switched it of at the plug and I have tried the reset programme! But to no avail. Can you advise please.

does it make the whirring sound until you disconnect from the mains?.if so suspect water in the antiflood base.turn it off and disconnect from the mains then lay the dishwasher on its back and let the water pour out to reset the antiflood system.retry.if it does the same you might have a draining issue,water counter issue leak or a blockage somewhere
