after the boilor heats up, should the iron automatically hear. Or do we have too use the switches. Or where can i get an instruction hand book as i do not have one.

u need to tell us the make and model. but by guessing its a steam iron with a separate water tank. the water in the tank warms up to provide the steam. and the iron u will need to turn the knob to warm up then when u are ironing press the steam button and the water tank will send steam to the iron. hope this helps
