Problm starting rs 125 2001 think its the clutch. Adam i need ur help !!?

my friends rs 125 2001 reg
He was in 5-6 gear 11000 revs the bike started to stutter he thought it was petrol so switched over to reserve whilst moveing then went back to normal for aprox 10 sec then died before he managed to pull the clutch in. coasted to the side of the road still in gear but with clutch pulled in down to first gear let the clutch out to bump it an back wheel locked skidded to a stop. then pulled back to get compression rolled forward in gear with clutch in can feel it dragging and hasnt started since the bike trys to pull away when you start the bike with the clutch in and in first.

Have cleaned the carb and its a new battary the only other thing i can think is the stand sensor will check and report back

if the clutch is broken surely the bike would still start ???
Adam if your reeding this please help you have helped me before with my dna 125 when i had a drive belt wrap itself round my engine and you were very helpfull

from what you describe, it sounds like the engine has seized up, take the head off and see if you can move the piston, with luck the piston will be near the top of the cylinder so you can put a piece of timber on top of the piston and hit that with a hammer until the piston moves, then with the piston free you'll be able to remove the barrel, chances are you'll need a rebore and new piston and rings anyway, depends how badly scored the cylinder is, then find out why it seized before its run again.
