i recently bought a 1.6 picasso 03 plate the battery has died but when i jump start the car its really slugish kangaroo when driving then eventually dies will getting a new battery solve this

I know nothing of cars...

1) You need a new battery
2) Erratic running will very probably be nothing to do with the poor condition of the battery - when was the vehicle last serviced? The air filter and plugs attended to? Is the engine getting enough fuel?
