hi, had new stair carpet fitted but carpet fitter cut thru the wires on the stairs. i joined all the wires back up but nothing is working.the main light (power) is on and when any numbers/ keys are pressed the "unset" button starts flashing for a short while then stops.how do i fix this problem?

I'll assume it's a Texecom Veritas 8c.

A fuse or two have been blown inside the control panel.

It or they need to be replaced. LIKE for LIKE, do NOT change the value of a fuse.

I'd suggest the one you are going to want is going to be a 500mA

Before opening the panel to see what you will need, turn the Mains Off.

most likely u have shorted a fuse inside the main panel. will need replacing
