water coming out of over flow pipe any ideas ?

the water is coming out of the the over flow which is at the back of the water spout for the shower

Static header tanks have overflows. Toilet cysterns have overflows but shower pipes/delivery systems have leaks.
Check your pipework for fractures or connection leaks.
Someone may have pulled at it if the lost their balance in the shower.
