mikomi M6225 pc camera?

I installed the camera unto the computer. Its a philips computer windows xp. But it dosnt say new hardware installed when the camera is plugged in. I checked to make sure the camera is working and it is. Please could u help me what im doing wrong as i really want it to work. Thanks
