clutch conversion?

im thinking of fitting a clutch conversion kit (DMF to solid flywheel) on my 56 reg focus 1.8 TDCI as its starting to rumble.
ive heard horror stories that these conversion kits dont work and can lead to a load of other problems, such as rough running, vibration right through the rev range and worst of all damage to the crank. Any advice will be appreciated.

Have tried solid flywheels, welded up DMF`s and in the long run have went back to fitting DMF`s,found numerous problems regarding g/box first motion shaft and clutch centre plate splines wearing.Yes they are expensive but in my opinion saves on maintenance regarding other parts on your motor.Good luck.
