I have a Whirlpool AKZ151 oven. When I switch it on to say 220 it starts to heat up. After about 5-10 mins, the fan stops and it starts flashing between 160 degrees and 3 on the grill, if you press the the button and turn the knob back to 220 it will go through the same process until eventually it will work.

First of all the fan should not stop. which is odd because it should only switch off after the oven has cooled down. Secondly if the light for the oven is flashing alternately with the grill light. That is even more odd.
There is nothing on the internet or user sites about this one so as a last resort try: http://www.hotpointservice.co.uk/book-an-engineer/ They do a fixed price repair no matter how many parts it takes.
ps It may be to your advantage to just to mention the fan going off then ask the price.
