I`ve had this problem for some time , I`ve switched it off for 48 hrs and when I switch it on it works for about 2 weeks then it happens again , I`ve changed the defrost heater and it still happens , the temperature light inside fridge is permanently on but no sound , so could it be the thermostat if so how easy is it to change.

this is usually a defrosting issue and heater is favorite however you say you have replaced it.is the fan working?.if it works after 48hr defrost it must be freezing airways back up causing your issue.there is a sensor in the evaporater and an air one at the front.change them if defrost heater and fan are working
