Machine first refused to spin, now when a cycle is selected and you press star, the machine turns once and stops

THE CARBON BRUSHES HAVE WORN OUT,THEY ARE EASILY REPLACED,2 SCREWS AND 1 WIRE ON EACH BRUSH. DISCONNECT FROM MAINS,THE BRUSHES ARE LOCATED ON THE BACK OF THE MOTOR.IF THE MACHINE IS A NEXUS,[SPLIT CASING] YOU NEED TO UNDO THE 8MM SCREWSON THE BACK AND UNDER PLUGS ON THE SIDE .THE BRUSHES ARE BLACK,HELD ON BY 2 SCREWS AND AWIRE WITH A SPADE TERMINAL.
