I do not know if the gear lever arrangement is the same as the Citroen Relay I had.
I had problems selecting reverse and 3 forward gears
I took the cowlings off inside the cab to expose the gear lever arrangement inside the cab and going through cab floor.
Check the correct movement of the reverse gear select nob under the gear lever knob and the widget that is behind cowling.
under the van check the linkage , it is like the joint on a prop shaft (hardy spicer), mine was seized up , it is difficult to work on , I managed to get it off make sure you note the position you take it off,, soaked it with ease oil then marinated it in oil over night dried it off packed it with copper grease refitted it,( make sure you put it on the way it came off), apparently it is a common fault because of exposure to the road elements.
