Hi, can anyone help?? I've got a v plate vectra Sri 140 and it seems to be losing gearbox oil, its got what I can only describe as some sort of cap on the top of the gearbox which is extremely loose and both this and this area is covered in pink oil, does anyone no what this part is and if its replaceable??

I've only just got the car ( I didnt notice it b4 I bought it) there is a very clean looking nipple with nothing attached to it sticking up maybe an inch or 2 from this the cap... The gearbox has clearly been replaced but this all looks in order

It sounds like you are describing the breather on the g/box,strange you are getting oil from there,is the g/box filled to the correct level?
