peugeot 206 hdi 2.0 litre turbo will not start?

my 206 diesel turbo will not turn over,i am thinking it might be the starter motor but am not sure,started fine the other morning coming home from work and that same night it would not start /turn over any ideas please,thank you in advance

Flat battery?If you get someone to try starting it and if you get 12v down at the small wire on the starter solenoid then if all your battery and connections are ok,suspect the starter
