EWX14440W washer dryer?

Door not locking, get E40 fault. Taken lock out through drum ring. Electrical socket connector has burn marks on one prong. Is is simply a matter of ordering new door lock, cleaning the electrical connector (can't seem to order new one) connecting up or is it likely that the burning will have caused further problems elsewhere?

just thought if it was clicking over and over there is a good chance it is a straight forward door interlock fault

you need to make good the wiring/connector before connecting it to a new door interlock.you can use quarter spade connectors and individually connect them to the new door interlock.just make note which ones go where. As for E40 it could be as simple as a door lock and sort wiring however sometimes they blow the main PCB when they fail.Very difficult to know unless you can see components blown on main pcb so usually fit new door lock and pray it works

sorry that should be scorching/blackening rather than actual burning
