Intruder alarm?

I have fitted a scantronic intruder alarm to my barn that's undergoing a full restoration.unfortunately mains power has not been established yet.

I would like to know if I can use a 12v car battery instead of the 7ah batter already installed in the panel with fabricated leads?.

Basically to power the scantronic for longer.

would not advice it car bats 55 to 75 amps but up to you mate car batts are not stable voltage thats why the car has a voltage regulater

yes. as long as you only use it on battery and don't plug it in to mains whilst car battery is still connected all should be good
