My windscreen wipers won't work on the intermittent setting at all and when I click down for a single cycle it just stops in random places and I have to keep my finger on the stalk to bring it back to its original resting place. I have also found that the windscreen washer won't work at all either. I have tried changing the fuse but still no joy. Any suggestions?

Will changing the motor also fix the intermittent problem on the wipers or is that another problem that needs fixing aswell?

The wipers got stuck on some snow that slid off the roof. Plenty of fluid in the reservoir as back washer still working.

Have the wipers been operated when blades are frozen to screen? Have changed a lot of wiper motors because of this,symptoms exactly as you describe,do you have plenty of screenwash in the reservoir,a lot of frozen washers at the moment depending where you are in the country
