how do you remove the extractor fan form cooker hood?

the cooker extractor fan (neff) has stopped working (newly moved into house so don't know how old it is) hope to buy replacement and fit ourselves if not too difficult. Any suggestions

The fan motors are usually reliable, do the lights work if not then the unit has just blown a fuse in its plug or spur unit. It will have a 3 amp fuse which can blow even when a bulb blows. Cheers

You remove the chimney and exterior ducting to get access to the fan.

There will be a control switch on the unit to make the fan work AND an isolating fused-spur switch close by - on the wall or sometimes hidden in a cupboard.

Good luck...
