How can I fix my Zanussi Washer-Drier WJS1465 - Error E10?

My Zanussi Washer Drier WJS 1465 displays error code E10 when I try to use the Drier. According to the manual this means that there is no cold water supply and suggests a blocked inlet hose filter or kinked hose. However, there is no problem with the water supply and the washing machine is working fine. These washer driers do use water during the drier phase as they use a condenser instead of having a hot air flue. However it is very low flow so must be controlled by a restrictor and I suspect this is blocked. Any idea where it is located?

I've just had exactly these symptoms and found that the green solenoid had failed (it's the middle pipe, that leads to the condensing unit). Replacing that fixed the problem.

Cheers Chris, There are actually 3 solenoids. It looks like there is one for pre-wash, one for main wash and one for conditioner phase. I'll check with a meter to see which one receives a voltage during the drier phase. What is the resert pump?

Bernie Allan, November 2006
the restrictor is located inside of one of the solenoids on the cold inlet. be carefull because there are two and i think the bottom one is for the dryer unit. make sure that the resert pump is working correctly aswell.
