Apply a bit of leverage, a thin spanner, screwdriver or the like and it will pop off.

if you put arm up off screen [as if washing screen] then give a wiggle on end of arm at right angle to the "hinge part" that fastens it to motor,it should release from taper,hope you understand what i meam?
