under wheel arch looking in fuel sediment bowl to the right and on a clip fitting in front of the pump and filter it looks like another pump and it has 12v on the end I can see,is this another fuel pump there is wires and fuel pipes all connected,at the weekend freelander would not start called the AA he gave the pump a tap with a hammer and it started ,told it was a faulty pump but it looks to me as there is two in this wheel arch anyone advice on this

sorry can`t remember the layout you are describing but doubt there are two primary pumps where you are looking,this other item with 12volt feed could be any number of fuel system devices and without seeing it is hard to determine what it is,you could try a landrover forum and these sites are usually good for information to help with your problem,good luck
