Hotpoint WMA36?

How do I change brushes on my machine?
loopylinda, April 2013
unplug the machine from the mains, remove the back panel and top, remove the wiring plug from motor, remove the 13 mm bolts that hold motor in place, you will see the brush holders on each side of the motor, they may be white or black, remove the small wire from the holder,be carefull, place a small screw driver blade into the little slot on the brush holder, and carefully prise out the holder, refit new brush hold c/w brushes not forgetting to replace the small wire,if you have a small brush clean the carbon dust from motor before fitting new holders, refit the motor to the machine,do not tighten the bolts yet,fit belt back onto the drum and motor shaft, tension belt by pulling motor then tighten bolts, refit back panel and top
