Hi
Found smelly problem at back of fridge after a lot of hunting. The black overflow pipe was hanging down and dirty water had collected in the white tray. Cleaned up etc but what should I do with the hanging black overflow pipe?
Should I push it into the small hole in the freezer above it to complete a circuit or leave it hanging?.

if it is the drain from the fridge or freezer compartment then it should go in to the tray possibly on top of the compressor at the bottom.this is how it works,water goes in to tray.compressor gets hot when running and evaporats the water and so the cycle goes round and round.yes they do get gunky
