What can be the cause of a Piezzo failure to click and give spark to the pilot on my Carver 3600stc c/van room heater. I how to get into the Piezzo box to check whats wrong?

Lunar book instructions say turn knob fully clockwise press down rapid being wrong as the only position the igniter rod will go down is at quarter turn level with the 'flash' ingintion indicator.

Once you get the cover off.Try the igniter in the dark. That way you will see where the ignition spark is shorting out to the frame.
The two main problems are the cable coming off the piezzo assembly and the spark arcing out to earth before it gets to the ignition electrode

2 screws at the very bottom corners (carpet level).remove them and lift the cover upwards.
