What is the magnetic field gradient of LAM1761 Lamona Induction hob?

I am enquiring on behalf of a patient who has Vagus Nerve Stimulator fitted for epilepsy.

This stimulator gives on demand stimulation if exposed to a magnet field of 35 Gauss - this is an entirely normal function of the device - however a prolonged exposure of more than 65 secs can prevent the device from stimulating until removed from the magnetic field

Can you tell me what the magnetic field strength of the cooker is please and perhaps info on the drop off of the gradient

Thanks

unless your patient is in the kitchen you will have no worry, and even then they would need to be over the hob the power is directional i fit and repair these units you have no worry

It's remotely possible that somebody who answers questions on here has knowledge of the magnetic field strength of induction hobs - they might even answer your question - you can not be sure, however, that any answer is based on expertise rather than guesswork.

You will do better to ask the people who make the hob and the medical implant.

Good luck...

For what it's worth I would guess that the patient would have to lay flat across the induction hob to trigger the device - but I know nothing.
