well I've never heard of one until today so I've read through various engineering documentation that we have access to and all seem easy enough.
Unfortunately I can't offer a solution to your "solution" because we don't give out defaulting methods on an open forum such as this.
I did find a programming command in engineering which when enabled by the installer locks the panel and is identified by four clicks of the relay as apposed to two.
If this applies then it says "the panel will have to be returned for a replacement",
if you are following the method exactly as the book says then it's locked :),
In my opinion you have two choices here:
1 rip it out and fit another system
2 rip it out and fit another system
