I can't shift from park to any other gear. Do I have to replace the complete shifter? It will actually go in gear when I remove the plug & I use a screw driver to press the tab on right.

if your cables are seized then replacement will be required,you have to remove the centre consul and lower dash panels,if you cut the matting behind the heater rad for access to the two 10mm nuts securing the cables to the floor then it is hidden when the dash is refitted,also the exhaust anti heat shield at front will need to be removed and a ramp is advisable for access to this job
