A very big thankyou to e manno and Nick.its all ok now and better than before because it is now giving us a bit more time to leave the house or when we enter.we do not have to rush in or out like we did before.can i ask how I change back to my original code that the wife and myself remember so well.thankyou both for all the help.

I would also say the OP needs to test the system so he knows it is working as he wants.
So set and trigger detectors.
Check part sets if needed.

Err you failed to thank gts,after all the primary fault was the battery,

No need to thank me given the fact I told you to throw it in the bin but your thanks are much appreciated,so thank you :),

Now the code change:

Press PROG then enter 0123,

Press 8 then enter the code you used before,

The panel will beep twice then press reset twice and that's it.
