Entry problem with logic 4 alarm?

Hi I have a logic 4 alarm. When I set it everything is fine. The buzzer buzzes and the exit lights go off when timed out. The problem is, the bell does not go off on entry. the buzzer buzzes when the doors open but the bells do not ring out.

sony loaded tape in shape of letter u,vhs loaded tape in shape of letter m ,the more turns you have the more likely the damage, that is why you see damage at the bottom of tv screen on a vhs recorder

Harvey smith guy,who could forget him he said by his fingers what I think :-) of our government

Good them sony's gts,

Me installed security at Harvey smith's place, don't know if you remember him,he was horse show jumper and he was sponsored by sanyo.

His horse at that time was called sanyo sanma.

Anyway he gave me brand new in box sanyo vhs recorder as a token of appreciation :D

But yeh Sony were the best apart from that little dew sensor inside that detected moisture and shut the whole thing down, was a bit of a problem but easily sorted when they failed. :)

hey e manno ,its a sony beta max me bot one of the first ,13 motors in it,how times have changed now you one with one motor sony was best system, vhf (vertical head scan )loaded the tape in shape of letter

One wouldn't spend money repairing a 1980's sanyo Betamax vcr these days so why throw any money towards repair costs for a logic 4 (same era)?.

And besides who puts their faith in a security system that uses a simple mechanical on/off switch that any child could bypass?,

I'd say rip it out and fit a decent system, it's outdated and it's rubbish.

I'd suggest that your entry/exit door contact needs replacing.

acorn, May 2013
we don't use these lower end units mate so I have no knowlage of them,we only fit professional panels, try a bell test turn key to test see what happens, but if I where you I would rip it out and fit a decent panel, like a scantronic
and while your at it replace the battery too

There is no pin number on a logic 4, it is key operated. The bell should ring when the timer has elapsed. This is not happening, the audible beep is constant...no bells.

johntudor7, May 2013
that's how it works, when you open the door you start the entry timer to let you key in your pin number the bell outside only go off if you have a break in
