xsara noise?

when I reverse I get a dull rubbery rubbing noise from front right, the noise just doesn't sound right, sounds like something wearing against each over, also get a rotational noise now and again when driving normally not belts or pulleys or water pump all checked, this is a follow up question, wondering if this is causing the noise as described in earlier posts, thanks for all previous advise

I'd check your cv joint / driveshaft boots. Sounds as if one or more might have split. When this happens the lubricating grease escapes and dirt and rain-water can get in and will eventually damage the cv joint bearings.

If this has happened, if not attended to quickly you'll then need a new driveshaft.

Another cause could be worn or damaged brake pads.
