how can i rectify the shower mixer temp problem?

hello, the problem I am experiencing with my mixer control bar, the hot water reaches it but the water coming out of the showerhead is lukewarm. the mixer bar is very hot to the touch but even when i overide the temp control the water goes colder rather than hotter. This is the 2nd mixer bar I have fitted as this problem arose with the original one.

Hi Keith, thanks for the prompt reply, the shower is located in a static caravan on a campsite in Spain. the cold water mains is quite powerful, the heated water is via a combi boiler, when the hot tap is turned on at the sink it takes a while for the hot water to reach the tap and its not as strong a jet as the cold water. would it help to turn down the cold water pressure at the stop tap ?

Hi Dave, Check all the usual simple suspects first, supply valves fully open, none of the filters blocked etc and then consider the following :-
You say the supply temp is very hot and the same thing happened with the previous shower, are you sure you are not 'cooking' the cartridge ? (65 degrees) is the limit, if this is a problem the 'anti scald control' maybe trying to close down the shower. Finally is there too much of a differential in the pressure between the hot and the cold ??
