my battery light came on and stayed on. I found my timing belt had come off but not broken ! what could have caused this to happen and how expensive is it to put right plz
belt is about 5-6 linear feet and goes round 4 pulleys

are you getting confused between your timing belt and fan belt?If your timing belt has slipped then expect severe engine damage,if it is your fan belt then check all pulleys for wear and try a new belt on it.
